Dr. Porter's statin study at NIH is now fully enrolled. It will be 26 months from the date of the last enrollment when the results will be
available. Information will be available around the end of 2009. We will update when it becomes available.
Dr. Elias at Children's Hospital in Denver, CO began a study using antioxidants in August, 2007.
There is no age limit for enrollment. The study would require travel to Denver to enroll and a 2-3 day stay in the research unit.
For families who live far away, they could be flown for free via Angel flight.
The follow-up is once a month for the first 3 months (labs could be obtained by local MD), and then once every 3
months. She would like to see patients in Denver at least once a year.
